Kidambi Srikanth became the first Indian shuttler to win Swiss Grand Prix title, after defending   Viktor Axelsen by 21-15, 12-21, 21-14 in the finals. Well, it’s the first time an Indian male badminton has won this title as before this female badminton Saina Nehwal won this title back to back in the year 2011 and 2012 consecutively.

Well, Srikanth Kidambi is one of the most exceptional players of our country born on 7th February 1993. He currently is been trained in Gopichand Badminton Academy which is located in Hyderabad. 

Getting trained under the coaching of Pulela Gopichand and Mulyo Handoyo his game has reached a whole new level in past few years. In the year 2018, he has been awarded the Padma Shri award by the Indian Government.
