The 2015 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup!

Which country clinched the 2015 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup?

New Zealand Men’s Hockey team clinched the 2015 Azlan Shah Cup after defeating Australia by 1 -3 in the penalty round. Well, it was the first time in the History of Sultan Azlan Shah Cup when the winner was decided through the penalty shootout, and also the first time the final has been an all-Oceania affair.

The match literally got exciting when the scorecard of both the teams got clashed and it got finished with a tie. But in the penalty shootout, New Zealand men’s hockey team celebrated a penalty shoot-out win over Australia to claim the 2015 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in Malaysia. The tournament has been held since 1983 with New Zealand’s only other success coming in 2012. Australia is eight-time champions.

Cheers!
