Anil Kumble, a former Indian International cricketer has been added to the list of ICC hall of fame in 2015. He was the former captain of Tests and ODIs, who played Tests and ODIs for 18 years. A right-arm leg spin bowler, he took 619 wickets in Test cricket and remains the third-highest wicket taker of all time after M. Murlidharan and Shane Warne. Kumble once dismissed all ten batsmen in a Test match innings against Pakistan in 1999, joining England’s Jim Laker as the only players to achieve the feat.

Anil Kumble was in Bengaluru, Karnataka on 17 October 1970. Kumble was the recipient of the Padma Shri, India fourth highest civilian honor in 2005. In November 2008 he retired from International cricket. He is married to Chethana Kumble and has two children – son Mayas Kumble and daughter Svasti Kumble. He also has an adopted daughter Aaruni Kumble.
