BHARATHI ARUN the former Indian cricketer also called BHARAT ARUN is appointed as the bowling coach of India in July 2017 after the announcement of the name of RAVI SHASTRI holding the post of head coach of the Indian cricket team on the two year contract, until the end of the 2019 World Cup.
Bharathi Arun was a right arm medium pacer and a right handed middle to lower order batsman born in 1962 in Andhra Pradesh. He debuted with a test match in 1986 against Sri Lanka but played only in two tests, and announced his retirement from the first class cricket in 1993. He was a successful bowler and his best performances were recorded in DULEEP TROPHY.
Despite of the average cricket career he has a successful coaching career. He started as a coach of RANJI team of Tamil Nadu in 2002. He was assistant coach of Kings XI Punjab in IPL-7, bowling coach of Royal Challengers Bengaluru in 2015, before that he was the head bowling coach at National Cricket Academy for several years and was chief coach of under -19 Indian cricket team during the triumph of world cup under-19 in 2012. Recently he was named as the coach of VB in TNPL. And now the head bowling coach of Indian national cricket team since 2017.
