Chief Justice of Bangladesh!
Syed Mahmud Hossain has been sworn-in as the 22nd Chief Justice of Bangladesh. He succeeded acting Chief Justice Abdul Wahab Mian. Mian was designated as the acting Chief Justice after Bangladesh's first Hindu Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha surrendered in November 2017 in the midst of joint claims. Juestice Sinha was in the middle phase of the debate after the summit court conveyed a decision announcing void sixteenth constitutional amendment, rejecting Parliament's power in impugning Supreme Court judges.
