Mahila Samridhi Yojna is the program which aims the promotion of saving among rural women. The program was officially started by central government (Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment) National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation (NBCFDC) to provide Micro Finance to women entrepreneur Self Help Groups (SHGs) belonging to the target group means backward classes for the empowerment of women.
Major benefits of Mahila Samridhi Yojna:
- Each beneficiary women would get maximum up to Rs. 50,000 as a loan for entrepreneurship
- NBCFDC will provide 95% of amount for business startup and rest 5% has to contribute to SCA (state channelizing agencies) or beneficiary
- Loan is to be repaid in quarterly installments within 48 months (including the moratorium period of six months on the recovery of principal)
