Well, the bank which has the capital and reserves of over Rs. 5 Lac is known as Scheduled Banks.
These banks in India allude to those banks which have been incorporated into the Second Schedule of Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934. RBI thus incorporates just those banks in this Schedule which fulfill the criteria set down vide segment 42(6)(a) of the said Act. Banks not under this Schedule are called Non-Scheduled Banks.
Cheers!
