Opportunities are the sales events that are related to an Account. Opportunities are when we had a discussion with a contact and we think there is some connection between our offers to the person we talked with, we create an opportunity. Or we can say that opportunities are deals in progress, an opportunity record will track details about the deals with the accounts they are related to. If our company using leads then an opportunity will create when a lead is converted.

Opportunity can be created directly from accounts where we’re working. As our deals progress toward the Proposal stage:
- Create tasks for key activities and calendar events for client meetings.
- Add products and attach files, like contracts or data-sheets.
- Use Notes to jot down things during customer meetings.
- Send an email to the opportunity contact or other key decision-makers.

Now, during the discussion, share sales strategies with the person or ask the manager for targeted guidance using Chatter. As we drive our deal from one stage to the next, update the opportunity record with the current stage. We’ll be closing deals in no time.
