Athens is considered the birthplace of Western Civilization. The city is very famous for its archaeological remains and monuments. However, Athens is not just known for ancient remains. 1. Athens has experienced almost all form of governments till now are, Monarchy, Socialism, Democracy, Capitalism, and even Communalism too.
2. The first known Democracy exists in Athens around 500 B.C. in which the eligible citizens directly voted for the laws.

3. Athens had a great love for theaters and now is home to 148 theater stages, which is more than the West End and Broadway combined.
4. Athens is very famous for ‘The Acropolis’.
