Ahmedabad is declared as India’s First World Heritage City. Ahmedabad is around 600 hundred old and it was founded by Ahmed Shah and now recognizing its heritage value it is been declared as India’s First World Heritage City by UNESCO.

The information was announced by the World Heritage Committee of UNESCO also our permanent representative to UNESCO Ruchira Kamboj took her twitter handle to share this amazing news. She tweeted “Thrilled to announce! Ahmedabad has just been declared India’s first #WorldHeritage city.

Well, there were Mumbai and Delhi too in the race, however, Ahmedabad nomination got huge support and was being selected over Mumbai and Delhi.
