The construction of around 20 lakh homes for the urban poor in over 4,720 and towns has been acclaimed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Vikas Yojna. This program led by the Government of India has launched 2 years ago.

The government has claimed that this particular task is really challenging but they are gearing up the project so that it could be completed by the end 2020.
