One of the most common strategic planning templates is a SWOT analysis template — strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Many business leaders and product managers use SWOT analysis templates to get a clear picture of internal and external factors influencing their success.

Strengths What are your company's strengths? How do you differ from your competitors? Your USPs. To what do your customers love about your company?

Weaknesses What are your company's weaknesses? With this question, one aims at finding out what you fail in comparing with your competitors. How would you define what your customers don’t like most about your company? Where do you think your business should improve?

Opportunities What possibilities does your company have? What is going on in the current state of your practice? What do my customers want me to offer them? In what ways can government regulations change to favor your company?

Threats  What are your company’s risks? Who are your main competitors? What are some of the new technologies that might shake up the market you work in? What threats may be posed by changing consumer tastes to your company? 

 

SWOT Analysis Summary What are some of the major advantages and disadvantages associated with your firm?

 What do you think of as the most critical opportunities and risks for your organization? 

How can you leverage your powers for gain?

 What steps can you take to address your weaknesses in order to avert threats? 

What are you most concerned about in the future? 

A thorough understanding about your firm’s strength, weaknesses, opportunity, and threat will be possible through a SWOT analysis.
